| *Advent Calender* |

This is a little late, but something for you to try next Christmas.
Christmas 2016, I decided to buy and decorate an advent calendar. It took me longer than expected, but it was fun to do, and looks nice and christmasy.

Everything I used apart from the stars I got from hobbycraft, which if you are a student I believe you can get 10% off which is a bonus. I used hobbycraft as I have one near me and it had pretty much everything I wanted in that one shop, which is great.

You can decoration this however you wish, you could just use paint or you could decoupage it for example, or you can add different things/objects to it. Just use your imagination. However, if your like me, and need some inspiration or ideas, here is how I decorated mine:

Sweet and Sour Chicken

This is a lovely version of a take-out food, done at home. But a lot healthier and yummier in my opinion. This recipe is taken from the Hairy Bikers recipe book, called the Hairy Dieters.

Now I love their books. I have three of their healthy eating ones, and the ones I have tired have all been delicious. I am quite a fussy person when it comes to food, although not so much now thanks to these two. It has made me try new recipes, which before I wouldn't try and having the same old family meals, but healthier.

Wildlife Pond Update!!

Sorry guys it has been a while since I have last posted, but been a little busy. But I am back and I thought I would do a little update on my wildlife area, and show you guys what I have done so far.

Baring in mind all these photos were taken a couple of weeks ago, so it has changed a bit, but I will do another update, as everything starts to grow more.

DIY Pencil Holder

Recently my dad has got himself a new greenhouse, which I helped to build it. At the moment its looks fairly bare, as we haven't been able to plant much yet, as it has only been up for a couple of weeks.

I thought I would do some bits and bob to add to it. I thought I would start with something simple, like a pencil pot, to keep all his pens, pencils, ruler etc, neatly inside.

St Clements Cheesecake

A yummy Cheesecake, perfect for a Sunday Lunch Dessert. I was quite surprised how yummy this turned out, as I was quite sceptical. For instance I normally use Philadelphia cream cheese, however, in this recipe it said to use ricotta cheese, which was a first. although delicious.

In the Garden, Birds

Years ago we used to have lots of bird feeders around in our garden, however we stopped as we didn't get much interest from the birds, and we had cats. However, recently I have brought some new feeders and placed them up, to encourage more bird life back into our garden, since we do not have any cats at the moment. Since putting up a few birds feeders, we instantly got lots different species of birds visiting our garden.

Wildlife Pond, Park Four

This is the last part of my pond post, where I will mention what plants I plan to get when they come in season.

There are many different plants out there, and it can be hard to choose which ones, so hopefully, this helps a little to understand what you may need.
